JOIN THE SALVAIL LAB
We value scientific rigor and integrity, motivation, communication and good lab citizenry. We are a multidisciplinary lab using microbial genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology and genomics to understand the basics of bacterial virulence and gene regulation. Candidates with expertise in any of these areas, or simply fueled by curiosity, are encouraged to apply to the Salvail Lab.

We aim to build an inclusive research environment where everyone is safe, treated with respect and feels entitled to speak up, ask questions and express ideas and opinions.

We value work-life balance with everyone taking care of their physical and mental health, discouraging working "around the clock" to be productive and encouraging nurturing interests outside the lab.
Graduate students
Students interested in joining the lab should first apply to the Graduate Program at the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences.
If you are already a student and would like to do a rotation in the lab, please email Hubert directly.
